Drawing From Life at the Georgia Aquarium

Recently I was invited to speak at Photoshop World in Atlanta by the good folks over at Kelby One. While there I managed to break away for my first visit to the Georgia Aquarium. It is an amazing facility that I always wanted to see and so glad that I finally got the chance. I did a number of drawings including some of their HUGE main tank, several tropical fish and even some penguins. I also bumped into a nice young woman named Emily that is currently attending art college. As it happens she recently wrote a paper on me and my career. That is a first… surreal.

A brief video and gallery are below. Enjoy!

Lion Walk – Cintiq + TVPaint Pencil Test

This is the second pass on a recent TVPaint “pencil test”. This version has several more “in between” frames than the previous pass and is starting to show more polish.

I did this study using TVPaint software on my Wacom 24″ HD Cintiq.

This is just the first shot in a full scene I will be animating over the next few weeks. What do you think the lion is looking at? Stay tuned!

Hope you enjoy it.
