Develop and refine your own work with individual guidance from Aaron, while working in the medium that best fits your creative voice.

Work in the medium you love

One creative process. Many ways to express it.

This experience is not centered on mastering one particular medium. The focus is on strengthening the way you observe, imagine, develop ideas, and make creative decisions.

Use the tools that fit your work.

We will provide a selection of traditional and digital art materials for participants to use throughout the experience:

  • Watercolor painting sets
  • Sketch and drawing pads
  • Traditional drawing materials, including charcoal, pencils, and related supplies
  • Digital workstations featuring Krita, TVPaint & Wacom One tablets

Guests are also welcome to bring their own preferred supplies. Cameras are not provided. Guests who would like to photograph their own reference are encouraged to bring a camera or use their phone.

Each day builds on the one before it, moving from attention and discovery to imagination, creation, and reflection.

Thursday, Oct. 22

Arrival

5:00 PM pickup from the host hotel, followed by dinner, introductions, and a screening event & lecture. The evening closes with a conversation about observation, creativity, and the days ahead.

Friday, Oct. 23

Observe

After coffee and a light breakfast, travel to Wekiwa Springs State Park for a full day of walking, sketching, photography, journaling, painting, and close observation. Return to the studio for dinner and a relaxed discussion about the ideas each participant wants to pursue.

Saturday, Oct. 24

Imagine

Spend the day in Aaron's studio developing artwork from Friday's discoveries. Aaron will demonstrate his process and work individually with each participant as ideas take shape through composition, storytelling, color, design, and atmosphere.

Sunday, Oct. 25

Create

Refine your work, solve creative challenges, and bring your ideas to life with continued personal guidance. The experience concludes with a special farewell dinner, a celebration of the group's progress, and certificates of participation.

Monday, Oct. 26

Return

After breakfast at your hotel, check out and begin the trip home with new work, new friendships, and a process for finding authentic inspiration in every project that follows.

Aaron Blaise
Your host and creative guide

Spend four days learning how Aaron sees, thinks, and creates.

Aaron Blaise is an animator, director, illustrator, painter, and wildlife artist whose career has always been rooted in close observation of animals and the natural world.

During 21 years at Walt Disney Feature Animation, Aaron worked on films including Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, and Mulan. He later co-directed Brother Bear, which received an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Feature.

See More Deeply is a rare chance to experience the habits of observation and idea development that have shaped Aaron's films, paintings, stories, books, and personal projects for more than four decades.

Aaron's studio sits near Wekiwa Springs State Park, allowing the group to move naturally from firsthand observation in the landscape to focused creative work in the studio.

Getting to Central Florida

Participants are responsible for arranging and purchasing their own travel to Central Florida, including transportation between the airport and the designated host hotel. Once you arrive at the host hotel, scheduled transportation between the hotel, Aaron's studio, Wekiwa Springs, and included group activities is provided.

Orlando International is the primary airport for most participants traveling to the Orlando and Apopka area.

Your four-night hotel stay is included. Final hotel information, arrival guidance, pickup timing, and local transportation instructions will be provided to registered participants. Transportation between the airport and host hotel is not included.

What are the event dates?
See More Deeply begins Thursday, October 22, 2026 with scheduled pickup from the host hotel and a welcome dinner. The final full program day is Sunday, October 25. Hotel checkout and departure take place on Monday, October 26, 2026.
Is there an age or health requirement?
Yes. All participants must be at least 18 years old by the event date. Participants must also be in good health and comfortable participating in outdoor walking at Wekiwa Springs State Park. Please contact us before registering if you have mobility, accessibility, or health concerns that may affect your participation.
How many artists will attend?
Attendance is limited to only 15 participants. The intentionally small group allows for personal interaction, one-on-one guidance, individual feedback, and meaningful conversation with Aaron throughout the experience.
What skill level is required?
The experience is designed for artists across disciplines and is not tied to one specific technical skill level. Participants should be comfortable working independently in their chosen medium and open to observation, experimentation, discussion, and feedback.
What medium can I use?
You may work in the medium that best fits your ideas. Drawing, watercolor, gouache, charcoal, ink, digital painting, illustration, writing, visual development, photography, and animation are all welcome. Aaron's guidance will focus on observation, imagination, composition, design, storytelling, and creative decision-making rather than one specific tool.
What art materials and equipment are provided?
We will provide watercolor painting sets, sketch and drawing pads, traditional drawing materials such as charcoal and pencils, and digital workstations featuring Krita, TVPaint & Wacom One tablets. Guests may use the provided materials or bring their own preferred supplies.
Can I bring my own art supplies or digital equipment?
Yes. You are welcome to bring your own supplies, tablet, computer, software, or other creative equipment. Personal equipment is brought at your own risk, and the Creature Art Teacher team may not be able to provide technical support for outside devices or software.
Are cameras provided?
No. Cameras and photography equipment are not provided. Guests who would like to photograph their own reference should bring a camera or use their phone.
Are the hotel, meals, and local transportation included?
Yes. Registration includes four nights at the designated host hotel, morning coffee and a light breakfast during program days, lunch each program day, dinner each program evening, and daily round-trip transportation between the hotel, Aaron's studio, Wekiwa Springs State Park, and scheduled group activities.
Which hotel nights are included?
Registration includes Thursday night, October 22 through Sunday night, October 25, with checkout on Monday morning, October 26. The designated host hotel and complete arrival details will be provided to registered participants.
Is airfare or travel to Florida included?
No. Participants are responsible for arranging and purchasing their own travel to and from Central Florida. Transportation between the airport and the host hotel is also not included.
Is there an airport shuttle?
No airport shuttle is included. Participants should plan to use a rental car, taxi, rideshare service such as Uber or Lyft, or another transportation option to travel between the airport and the designated host hotel.
Can I arrive early or extend my stay?

Generally, yes. Once you sign up, you will be sent a travel itinerary. On that form, you will be able to let us know if you wish to stay beyond the event dates. We can then work with the hotel to modify your reservation for the additional nights at a special group rate.

If you intend to extend your stay, we recommend signing up as soon as possible so we can be sure to accommodate your request. Extended reservations are based on first-come, first-served availability.

Can I bring a guest or friend who is not participating?

Yes. We are able to accommodate guests who are not participating in the creative program.

Due to event planning and food logistics, there is a $400 non-participating guest fee. This fee includes all scheduled meals and any transportation needed for off-site activities in which the group participates.

What if I live locally and do not need a hotel?
We have a very limited number of Local Area Resident Tickets available at a reduced price. These tickets are extremely limited and will appear as an option at checkout while available. Local ticket holders must be able to provide proof of area residency if requested.
What should I bring?
Bring comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for outdoor walking, any personal art supplies you prefer, weather-appropriate items, and a camera or phone if you wish to photograph reference. A detailed preparation and packing list will be provided to registered participants before the event.
Do international participants need a passport or visa?
International travelers need a valid passport to enter the United States. Depending on your country of origin, a visa or other travel authorization may also be required. Participants are responsible for confirming and completing their own entry requirements before traveling.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?

Due to the nature of this event, all cancellations are subject to a $500 non-refundable deposit fee.

If you cancel fewer than 30 days before the event begins, your entire payment will be considered non-refundable.

If Creature Art Teacher cancels the event for any reason, 100% of your payment will be refunded.

If you need to cancel, please contact us as soon as possible. If the event has a waitlist, we may be able to transfer your registration to another guest. This is not guaranteed, but we will do our best to work with you.
