About Jenny Medved:
Jenny Medved is an award winning artist and experienced teacher in higher education. She has been working as a professional painter for nearly 20 years. Jenny is a member of the Hawaii Watercolor Society (HWS), a signature member of the Florida Watercolor Society (FWS), an associate member of Women Artists of the West (WAOW), American Artist Professional League and a master signature member as well as current President of the Florida Suncoast Watercolor Society (FSWS). She is currently working on a large body of work documenting Indigenous and Polynesian Cultures that carry on the native traditions of their families and ancestors. This includes native tribes and dancers from the mainland US, Canada and also includes the islands of Hawai'i, Samoa, Tahiti, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand, among others. I can not begin to say how much this course meant to me. I clicked on it not really reading the title just noticing the girl and how pretty it was. I have never painted in watercolor but now I really want to try. When I think of watercolor it is this washed out kind of painting. I love this and really can’t wait to try something. I think I may have to go a bit smaller in the beginning however.
