Hi Everyone! PLEASE check out my inaugural edition of "Aaron’s Art Tips". This will be a weekly 10-15 minute blog where I impart bits of artistic knowledge that I’ve picked up during my 25 year career in animation, illustration, and fine art. One week you might get a tip on timing for animation, the next week might be composition notes in painting. You never know what you might get. In this first edition I’ll talk to you about the evils of "evenness" in art. I hope you enjoy and please send me suggestions for future episodes. Please see more of my work at creatureartteacher.com Thank you!!
I’ve got a new painting tutorial out on Painting Dramatic Animal Portraits – Florida Panther. Please check it out!
Here is a proof of concept piece we were working on at Digital Domain before the company went bankrupt. It was being done for "The Legend of Tembo", a film I was co-directing with Chuck Williams. We were 3 weeks away from finishing. I feel it was a good example of how the film would have felt.
I’ve just finished a new tutorial on painting water! It’s the first in a series of painting the different states of water. In this one, learn how to paint turbulent, wavy water. 1 hour and 5 minute. http://creatureartteacher.com/digital-downloads/painting-water-with-aaron-blaise-1
