I loved this! one of my Favorite teacher by far!! Having you and Aaron in my side pockets makes me feel like I can tackle the world.. Giggle. I just finished the Acrylic first as right now I totally love the traditional works better !! (I still like digital, but…) .. I do hope to see more of you Marco playing with mixed media. Wow !! absolute fun !!

I have autism, this course was initially difficult to follow but by lesson 2 it made a lot more sense. I don’t know if other people with autism have this issue but my main struggling point was that i found it very hard to understand the fundamentals and examples taught in lesson 1. My eye just didn’t flow as the instructor did. In fact it flowed quite the opposite, my eye was starting at opposites of everything the instructor mentioned. But by lesson 2 i started to understand why, i suspect maybe because of autism, my eye is catching attention to the negative space rather than positive space. I look back at how i interact with people and its becoming very self aware that i tend to look at negative spaces first before the focal points. The course has been very insightful, i realize how others see art and why i see it differently.

I just finished Marco’s class and it far exceeded my expectations. I love his use of color and the demos explain in detail why and how he is using particular colors, how to get the shadow areas to come alive, his technique of building color from neutrals, layering colors, and adding color notes. He demonstrates the importance of contrast, shape sizes and value connections. He doesn’t just give an interesting demonstration; he gives usable techniques and approaches to advance the student’s work.
